Independent risk layer

Risk before return.

A compelling setup is not enough. MG TradePilot is designed to require portfolio-level approval before any instruction can move toward execution.

Trade sizing limits

Cap risk per position and prevent a single setup from dominating the portfolio.

Required stops

Require a defined invalidation level before a setup can pass risk review.

Drawdown limits

Pause new activity when daily or weekly loss thresholds are reached.

Exposure limits

Restrict total, correlated, and per-asset exposure across concurrent positions.

Loss-streak cooldowns

Automatically pause strategy activity after a configured run of losses.

Data and API safeguards

Reject action when price data is stale, inconsistent, or exchange connectivity is unhealthy.

Exchange access

Limit permissions. Isolate credentials.

Use a separate exchange API key with view and trade permissions only. Never grant withdrawal permissions. Restrict the key further using the exchange's available IP, asset, and account controls.

Emergency kill switch

A kill switch should immediately prevent new automated actions while preserving the visibility needed to review and manage existing exposure. It complements—not replaces—exchange-native controls.
